SEAVIUM Opens the Discussion on the Role of AI in the Maritime Industry

Last week, Seavium had the pleasure of being invited by BLUESIGN | Lead the Way to speak at the Med’ Offshore Renewable Energy Conference, during the panel: “Offshore Wind & Maritime Decarbonization: What Complementarities?”

It was an opportunity to share our perspective on the levers already available — and the role Seavium can play in this collective effort to decarbonize the maritime industry.

Before modifying vessels or investing in complex new technologies, there are actions we can take right now, using data and tools already available.

By combining operational data with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, Seavium enables up to 20% emission reductions in offshore operations for its clients.

During the roundtable, our moderator asked a crucial question:

“Focusing specifically on AI-driven chartering – how can this technology contribute to concrete emissions reduction in offshore wind logistics and operations today?”

Our answer: optimize decision-making using real data and intelligent, predictive tools.

AI-driven chartering allows operators to identify the most technically suitable and geographically closest vessels in real time, minimizing unnecessary mobilizations and emissions while improving project efficiency.

We were proud to share this vision alongside major industry stakeholders from across Europe and beyond.

A special thanks to Sabrina, Emma, Rob, Matthieu, and Thomas for the invitation, organization, and their contribution to a day of insightful discussions.

These exchanges have already accelerated our deployments and strengthened our collaborations with key market players.

👉 Seavium remains open to new partnerships to deploy data-driven, AI-based solutions for offshore vessel owners and charterers committed to decarbonization.
